A Course in Miracles and the Message of The Secret1454015

In the last year, lots of people have approached me asking me about my perspective, and also the perspective of a course in miracles, about the popular book and movie The Secret. I was also recently inspired to participate in an expert panel discussion around the Secret as well as the law of attraction on the Body Soul Spirit Expo in Calgary.

When i see it, The trick offers a few powerful and necessary global messages worth appreciating. The very first message is always that our thoughts possess a powerful influence on our life. The next insight is always that we are entitled to a wealthy life, although true wealth is more than just cash and "toys." Instead, it involves feeling fulfilled in all areas of life, including our relationships, career, and health. That which you need to do is look within to find out if, in reality, we feel worthy of authentic wealth.

Another message which is subtly conveyed inside the Secret, then one that I believe to be real, is that when we have a heartfelt desire and we say yes to doing our part to manifest the desire, synchronicities arise, and dormant forces come alive.

On the flip side, I'm the idea that more "toys" as cars, houses, jet planes, and boats can make us happy and will also be the type of our capability to manifest is potentially damaging and crippling for most people who are already "bankrupt" inside the areas of self-love and self-appreciation. The situation with this picture is the desire to have often develops from a feeling of lack rather than a feeling of completeness. And because of this, everything we gain in dreams of feeling "full," whole, happy, or accomplished, will finally not work, because we feel a void internally.

The fact is that we are not empty, but already full, and when we understand and feel this being our new reality, then the outer world starts to "echo" our inner awareness.

A Course in Miracles reminds us that to the degree that we can accept and be truly grateful for your inheritance as being an unbounded, abundant, whole, and unlimited Self, we'll attract to ourselves the right outward expressions in our claimed inner worth. This reclaiming in our authentic Self will likely then miraculously bring into manifestation any material items that will serve the higher good of both our life as well as those around us, yet we will feel no dependency upon them for the happiness.
