In the last year, lots of people have approached me asking me about my perspective, and also the perspective of acim, about the popular book and movie The Secret. I had been also recently required to participate in a professional panel discussion around the Secret and also the law of attraction on the Body Soul Spirit Expo in Calgary.

When i see it, The key offers a few powerful and necessary global messages worth appreciating. The very first message is always that our thoughts have a powerful affect on our life. The next insight is that we are eligible to a wealthy life, although true wealth is much more than just cash and "toys." Instead, it requires feeling fulfilled in all areas of life, including our relationships, career, and health. Another message which is subtly conveyed inside the Secret, and one that I believe really was, is that when we have a heartfelt desire and that we say yes to doing our part to manifest the desire, synchronicities arise, and dormant forces come alive.

On the flip side, I feel the idea that more "toys" in the form of cars, houses, jet planes, and boats can make us happy and you will be the type of our capability to manifest is potentially damaging and crippling for most people who are already "bankrupt" inside the areas of self-love and self-appreciation. The problem with this picture is that the desire to have often comes from a feeling of lack rather than a feeling of completeness. These types of this, everything we gain in about feeling "full," whole, happy, or accomplished, will in the end not work, because we feel a void internally.

The truth is that we are not empty, but already full, when we understand and feel this to be our new reality, then your outer world begins to "echo" our inner awareness.

A Course in Miracles reminds us that to the degree that we can accept and become truly grateful for our inheritance for being an unbounded, abundant, whole, and unlimited Self, we will attract to ourselves an ideal outward expressions of our claimed inner worth. This reclaiming in our authentic Self will miraculously bring into manifestation any material things that will serve the higher good of both our life and of those around us, but we will feel no dependency upon them for your happiness.
