The issue with this picture would be that the desire to have often comes from a feeling of lack rather than a feeling of completeness. And due to this, everything we gain in about feeling "full," whole, happy, or accomplished, will inevitably not work, because we feel a void internally.

The truth is that we are not empty, but already full, when we understand and feel this being our new reality, then a outer world starts to "echo" our inner awareness.

A Course in Miracles reminds us that as far as that we can accept and be truly grateful for our inheritance as being an unbounded, abundant, whole, and unlimited Self, we will attract to ourselves the right outward expressions of our own claimed inner worth. This reclaiming in our authentic Self will then miraculously bring into manifestation any material things that will serve the more good of both our life as well as those around us, yet we will feel no dependency upon them for the happiness.
