A Course in Miracles as well as the Message from the Secret82280
In the last year, lots of people have approached me asking me about my perspective, and the perspective of acim, around the popular book and film The Secret. I was also recently required to participate in a professional panel discussion on The Secret and the law of attraction at the Body Soul Spirit Expo in Calgary.
As I see it, The key offers a few powerful and necessary global messages worth appreciating. The very first message is that our thoughts use a powerful affect on our life. The subsequent insight is that we are eligible to a wealthy life, although true wealth is a lot more than just cash and "toys." Instead, it calls for feeling fulfilled in most areas of life, including our relationships, career, and health. What we need to do is look within to discover if, in fact, we feel value authentic wealth.
Another message that is subtly conveyed in The Secret, and something that I believe to be true, is that once we have a heartfelt desire so we say yes to doing our part to manifest the desire, synchronicities arise, and dormant forces come alive.
On the flip side, Personally i think the idea that more "toys" in the form of cars, houses, jet planes, and boats is likely to make us happy and will be the illustration showing our capacity to manifest is potentially damaging and crippling for many people who are already "bankrupt" within the areas of self-love and self-appreciation. The problem with this picture would be that the desire to have often develops from a feeling of lack instead of a feeling of completeness. And due to this, whatever we gain in hopes of feeling "full," whole, happy, or accomplished, will in the end not work, since we feel a void internally.
The fact is that we are not empty, but already full, so when we understand and feel this to be our new reality, then your outer world begins to "echo" our inner awareness.
A Course in Miracles reminds us that to the degree that we can accept and be truly grateful for your inheritance as being an unbounded, abundant, whole, and unlimited Self, we are going to attract to ourselves the right outward expressions of our own claimed inner worth. This reclaiming of our own authentic Self will miraculously bring into manifestation any material items which will serve the higher good of both our life and of those around us, but we will feel no dependency upon them for your happiness.
So, in order to know and live the actual Secret, find your Authentic Self, reclaim it-and your real inheritance follows.
