Choosing inmuebles can be a daunting task. It is a life altering decision because this will be your home for the following year (at least) depending on the structure of one's lease agreement.

-How many bedrooms?

Typical apartment setups are highlighted below: studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms and three bedrooms. A studio apartment is but one large room where everything sits. Personally, I'm not a fan of studio apartments since they lack the privacy of rooms and I personally want to compartmentalize things inside their respective rooms. Single bedroom is good for a single 20 something yr old man or woman just starting out and they can usually get a reasonable monthly rate for a 1 bedroom. 2 about three bedroom apartments manage to work well for more than one person, typically families or friends who become roommates. Higher priced, but with roommates this lets you split the rent.

-What is roofed in the rent?

Some apartments offer different utilities inclued within the rent. A few example utility offers might be free heat and domestic hot water, free gas and electric, etc. Because most apartments offer this and these types of inclusions have grown to be quite commonplace, always ask or uncover what is included. The most frequent offering seems to be free heat and hot water and other utilities such as gas and electric are not included. This can be reasonable and I would recommend this situation.

-What is the parking situation?

In the event you own a car and drive regularly, then this is a very essential aspect. Some apartments have a parking lot where you stand assigned one parking space. You will never have to be concerned with parking if this is the case in anticipation of having guests. Guests will be limited to parking in the pub. Other apartments may have lots, however with first come first serve parking. Not really a big deal, unless there is limited space, whereby this can be a problem. Usually apartment buildings possess the necessary space so it does not become an issue. Other apartments may have street parking. This has always been a concern of mine as street parking doesn't invariably guarantee parking and in addition lends itself to the opportunity of car vandalism and theft.

-Is the apartment furnished?

Most apartments must be furnished by the tenant, but in those rare occasions, the apartment could be furnished having a couch, bed, chairs, etc. For the way you feel about using other people's stuff, a furnished apartment might or might not work for you.

-Location

Is it near major highways? Have you got a supermarket close to you? Entertainment? It could be wise to navigate the area and see what exactly is near there, this way you have a clear idea of how quickly you can acquire necessities.

-Neighbors

This one is very challenging to determine before selecting an apartment and it is usually discovered after you have already moved in. You can test to ask the owner about any noise issues, but most of the time they are going to say there's no noise even when there is. Stuffed to live in a condo with lots of noise, so usually this will be a crapshoot.

Have fun with finding your apartment. Hopefully these pointers have given you some sort of indication about what to expect when selecting your apartment.
