In the last year, many individuals have approached me asking me about my perspective, as well as the perspective of acim, about the popular book and film The Secret. I was also recently inspired to participate in a specialist panel discussion on The Secret as well as the law of attraction on the Body Soul Spirit Expo in Calgary.

As I see it, The trick offers a few powerful and necessary global messages worth appreciating. The initial message is the fact that our thoughts have a powerful relation to our life. The next insight is always that we are eligible to a wealthy life, although true wealth is more than just cash and "toys." Instead, it requires feeling fulfilled in all areas of life, including our relationships, career, and health. What we need to do is look within to discover if, in fact, we feel value authentic wealth.

Another message which is subtly conveyed inside the Secret, then one that I believe really was, is that when we have a heartfelt desire so we say yes to doing our part to manifest the need, synchronicities arise, and dormant forces stand out.

On the flip side, Personally i think the idea that more "toys" by means of cars, houses, jet planes, and boats is likely to make us happy and will be the type of our capability to manifest is potentially damaging and crippling for most people who are already "bankrupt" in the areas of self-love and self-appreciation. The problem with this picture is that the desire to have often develops from a feeling of lack instead of a feeling of completeness. These types of this, whatever we gain in about feeling "full," whole, happy, or accomplished, will in the end not work, because we feel a void internally.

The reality is that we are not empty, but already full, so when we understand and feel this being our new reality, then the outer world actually starts to "echo" our inner awareness.

A Course in Miracles reminds us that as far as that we can accept and become truly grateful for our inheritance as being a definite unbounded, abundant, whole, and unlimited Self, we are going to attract to ourselves the right outward expressions of our claimed inner worth. This reclaiming of our authentic Self will likely then miraculously bring into manifestation any material things that will serve the higher good of both our life and also those around us, yet we will feel no dependency upon them for your happiness.
