Choosing viviendas can be a daunting task. It is a life altering decision because this will be your home for an additional year (at least) depending on the structure of your lease agreement.

-How many bedrooms?

Typical apartment setups are as follows: studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms. A studio apartment is a large room where everything sits. Personally, I am not a fan of studio apartments simply because they lack the privacy of rooms and i also personally prefer to compartmentalize things inside their respective rooms. Single bedroom is perfect for a single 20 something yr old man or woman in the beginning stages and they gets a reasonable monthly rate for a 1 bedroom. 2 about three bedroom apartments manage to work well for more than one person, typically families or friends who become roommates. More costly, but with roommates this enables you to split the rent.

-What is included in the rent?

Some apartments offer different utilities inclued inside rent. A couple of example utility offers could be free heat and hot water, free electric and gas, etc. As most apartments offer this that types of inclusions are becoming quite commonplace, always ask or discover what is included. The most common offering seems to be free heat and warm water and other utilities for example gas and electric are not included. This really is reasonable and that i would recommend this case.

-What is the parking situation?

Should you own a car and drive regularly, this is a very essential aspect. Some apartments possess a parking lot where you stand assigned one automobile parking space. You will never need to be concerned with parking if this sounds like the case til you have guests. Guests will be tied to parking all the time. Other apartments may have lots, however with first come first serve parking. Not a big deal, unless there is limited space, in which case this can become a problem. Most of the time apartment buildings possess the necessary space therefore it does not become a problem. Other apartments may have street parking. It's always been an issue of mine as street parking doesn't necessarily guarantee parking as well as lends itself to the potential for car theft and vandalism.

-Is the apartment furnished?

Most apartments should be furnished by the tenant, but in those rare occasions, the apartment could be furnished with a couch, bed, chairs, etc. Depending on how you feel about using other's stuff, a furnished apartment might or might not work for you.

-Location

Is it near major highways? Have you got a supermarket near you? Entertainment? It might be wise to navigate the region and see what's near there, that way you have a clear concept of how quickly you can obtain necessities.

-Neighbors

This one is very difficult to determine prior to you buying an apartment and is also usually discovered once you have already moved in. You can test to ask the owner about any noise issues, but many of the time they will say there is no noise even though there is. Stuffed to live in a condo with lots of noise, so usually this will be a crapshoot.

Good luck with finding your new apartment. Hopefully these tips have given you some sort of indication as to what to expect when selecting your apartment.
